Robert is a 73-year-old male who is bedbound, and his spouse provides a major portion of his care. When TenderHeart first began servicing Robert, there was difficulty in finding a brief that fit him due to the shape of his thigh. He was having varying amounts of leakage throughout the day and was beginning to have skin breakdown as a result. A TenderHeart specialist worked with Robert’s caregiver to sample multiple incontinence products until we were able to match a product to Robert’s need. Today, Robert is using an extended wear brief that absorbs well, fits better, and his skin health is improving. Per Robert’s caregiver, he requires fewer bed changes which helps her with laundry and that she is grateful for the patience TenderHeart staff took to help Robert be comfortable, dry, and healthy.

Olivette is a 60-year-old female who would become short of breath rushing to the bathroom during incontinence episodes. Using incontinence coaching, a TenderHeart trained specialist helped identify the appropriate product for Olivette’s incontinence needs. She can better manage her condition now and no longer has to hurry to the bathroom because she trusts her incontinence products. Olivette said TenderHeart has never been late on shipping supplies, and that the TenderHeart staff is professional, kind, and always willing to go the extra mile for patients.
One 25-year-old male member was using six products at a time. He used four liners inside a brief, covered with a pull-up. Not only was he still leaking, he was having a hard time sitting and walking comfortably in all those products. After providing coaching and offering more absorbent briefs, we resolved the issue. The member and his mother were very thankful. Neither of them was aware of the different product options available, nor had they received education on product use. The mother was very grateful that TenderHeart reached out to her and said she couldn’t ask for a better company.
A 22-year-old male was layering multiple bladder control pads inside a brief to control leaking. His mother regularly woke up in the middle of the night to change him and all the bed sheets. TenderHeart determined that the patient was not using the correct size of product, and sent samples of a more absorbent brief, which worked very well. This reduced the number of briefs used and eliminated the bladder control pads. The mother was very thankful the night leakage issue was solved. She also appreciated the education TenderHeart provided, which she hadn’t received from the previous supplier. She believes their lives have been changed as a result.
A 49-year-old female was getting skin irritation from her incontinence products. Specialists from TenderHeart worked with the member for several weeks to find a liner that fit her comfortably. The member said that TenderHeart was the first company that actually listened to her concerns. She was also severely depressed because she felt she couldn’t leave the house without leaking. Now she’s much more comfortable and excited because she can leave her home with confidence.
